I am Very Tired as a writer of American historical fiction, but I'm going to keep going.

Oh right, it wasn't because there are houses right against the remaining battlefield or the fact that in the past the neighbors have assaulted NPS staff (who were carrying muskets) during programs or NPS regulations against battle attacks on property that did it. PARKING! That is the reason ๐๏ธ
I am BEGGING romance authors to stop making their characters have sex in hay. Do you understand how scratchy and uncomfortable hay is? Good god, the CHAFING that would happen. There is no sexual experience that could ever be good enough to make up for that.
