Ultimately the big ten tournament doesnβt really matter and better to have this performance this week than next so we move on!

Dent was better than Fears tonight, and the defense just was not good. By the time they figured it out in the last couple minutes either it was too late
However, even with giving up open looks UCLA was still hot on top of that, and MSU couldnβt buy anything around the rim the first 30 mins
Go Green
And bonus take - another example of eventually close game regression coming for everyone. They donβt have some special ingredient that made them *that* good in tight games
They were extremely lucky to be 31-0, but thatβs ok, and they better be rewarded for it by the committee
All these things are true
- they absolutely fluked their way through the regular season
- they are a very good MAC team, and overall near the top of teams from traditional 1 bid leagues, but nothing special
- they 100% deserve to make the tournament based on WAB or the resume metric of your choice
Miami going 31-0 by only winning close games and then immediately losing a close game in the first game of the conference tournament is objectively hilarious
UTRVG has had 3 chances to win at the end of the game and missed all 3. McNeese is the better team and this just feels like theyβve used up all their chances
The Southland going with the full on nba finals trophy court design is incredible
The takes from this Bam thing are gonna be incredible
What a defensive play by Wright State
Tough finishfor UDM π
I will say I have also been very intrigued by the Horizon's setup this year too. The combination of
- Campus sites (partially, at least)
- Re-seeding
- random middle of tournament extra games for lowest seeds
are all great for rewarding the top seeds and it's in a unique format I hadn't seen before
As a ladder respecter since I started following hoops & loving the WCC format I feel so justified that it is catching on with more conferences
This year's SBC was weird because of that 6 way tie for sure, but
- that is a rare edge case
- I agree with you that, well, should have won another game!
Covered
Fears/Cooper/Kohler did enough today. Needed one of the role players to step up and no one did
2026 and still doing little brother chants very cool lmao
Offense with just not enough down the stretch. Pretty good game. UM just a taaaad better this season. Β―\_(γ)_/Β―
I mean
Ward just hasnβt had a chance to get involved in this one
Wojcik is +1 in 4 minutes. Heβs done his job today. But I assume thatβs it
Given the foul differential thereβs about to be an extremely frustrating stretch of calls on MSU π
Incredible back to back dunks
I love Izzo man hahaha. You just donβt get interviews like that from anyone else
Whatβs the bare minimum needed to stay there before the tournament? Key spot given the 16th bid is gonna be an AQ
Assume it might still come down to BTT?
This is on Izzo for not getting the seniors their moment. Was 30 seconds too soon and none of this happens
This is actually hilarious
Was Ogbole the same one who flexed on Coop in the first game in NJ too? This guy have beef with him or something?
Iβm surprised McCulloch is totally out of the rotation at this point. Figured this would be a good game for 5-7 minutes
I know itβs Rutgers but they have been incredible this half
Carr has done a lot of things but 3 in a row is a new one
COEN CARRRRR
