If you’ve spent years abroad paying little or no UK tax, it’s reasonable to pay Capital Gains Tax when you return.
You’re coming back to the roads, hospitals and schools the rest of us have been funding.

We could just start calling generative AI by its more accurate name, Mediocre White Male Talent Simulator.
Waiting for the public release, apparently 16th April.
Some early cockpit progress on the DBMK 1/32 Sea Fury. Overall, though, this is one of the most detailed and parts-heavy out-of-the-box cockpits I've encountered, and there's quite a way to go yet!

He didn't last time he pulled that scam.
"I said it's quite bold of Nigel Farage to go to the US to side with Donald Trump against his own country. What did I say Roy?"
"You said he's a treacherous self-serving sack of shit"
This image is taking the Buccaneer low flying trope a bit too far.
Doncaster?
“Dear Diary,
Super excited to say that I’ll be serving my Clacton constituents today by flying to Mar-a-Lago to meet Donald Trump and to undermine the UK government. God I love being a patriot!”
Kelly: "You could pick a random group of people off the street tonight here in DC and they could probably do a better job than our government is doing right now. They don't have a goal, there's no strategic plan. And what this is likely to lead to is, again, a long war with a lot of dead Americans."
I’m surprised I haven’t seen this today. THE Spitfire flypast. A firm favourite of all Spitfire fanboys. I’ve fortunate to hear an explanation of the events from Ray Hanna’s daughter.

If these people are found to be working for a foreign power, Keir Starmer will be personally responsible. Whereas when a senior Reform colleague is jailed for ten years for taking bribes from Russia, that is nothing to do with me.
That was her response, what was her answer?
I know that the people who need to read this aren’t here, but here goes:
Rules of engagement aren’t for the enemy. They’re for you. They’re for your soldiers when they’re captured or wounded. They’re for your civilians when they’re in range of the enemy. They’re for your allies, to reassure.
Everyone knows about the massive influence that "Blue Monday" from New Order had upon dance music, but let me offer a contrary take. "New Gold Dream (81/82/83/84)" from Simple Minds which came out in 1982, before Blue Monday, deserves its rightful place in EDM history. youtu.be/GWAC4UeWGd0?...
“The fact that this Latino man was upset about Black people moving into his neighborhood and then threatened to call Trump on the Black family is absolutely infuriating and nuts. It shows the insidiousness of racism. (cont.)

Apologies for the AI spellcheck inserted apostrophe 🤬
White Christian’s. Most churches in Britain today are propped up by immigrants who are far less atheistic than native British.
Commonwealth and Irish citizens are the people who only came to Britain after Britain first went to them.
A disproportionate number of reform type men seem to be married to immigrant women.
Once again immigrants are brought in to do the tasks Britains view as beneath them.
Agreed, I’ve worked in the US and the mentality always felt like that of a European (including English) village r whose life revolved around the home and who had a strong distrust of outsiders and outside influences.

Truly, truly, truly disgusting.
Keep this Trumpist race baiting out of British politics.
To be fair, this is a small account doing some engagement farming, but this is good advice and worth a share.
How Much I Dislike the Daily Mail I would rather eat Quavers that are six weeks stale, blow dry the man bun of Gareth Bale, listen to the songs of Jimmy Nail, than read one page of the Daily Mail. If I was bored in a waiting room in Perivale, on a twelve-hour trip on Network Rail, halfway through a circumnavigational sail, I would not read the Daily Mail. I would happily read the autobiography of Dan Quayle, 1001 Things You Can Do With Kale, selected scripts from Emmerdale, if it meant I didn’t have to read the Daily Mail. Far better to stand outside in a storm of hail, scratch a blackboard with a fingernail, be swallowed by a humpback whale, than have to read the Daily Mail. If I was blind and it was the only thing in Braille, I still would not read the Daily Mail. Brian Bilston
Today’s poem is called ‘How Much I Dislike the Daily Mail’.
As journalists working today many of us are taught to recognise disinformation when we see it and fight back against it.
Unfortunately there are some who willingly seek it out and put it on their front pages. A disgrace to the profession.
Last year I wrote a short film, two screenplays and three sitcom scripts. Are there any production companies out there who’d like to read any of them? Let me know. Thanks!
