Limbs work on the same crit system as heads in that game, there's just a random chance of them severing when you hit them.

I've only played the REmake version of Jill's story, and I could've sworn it was more complicated when I did it, and the wiki agrees but then does not actually give any further info lmao
V-jolt is legitimately the hardest in the series as far as I can remember, if nothing else just due to the number of steps. It's only easier from there.
I spent a decade hearing that CV is this complex and obtuse game and then I play it and every puzzle essentially shows me a red and blue button and directly tells me to press blue.
I think people actually played old RE and old SH back to back in the 90s and now get them mixed up.
Old RE games universally have toddler proofed puzzles. The idea that the puzzles in the modern games are simpler or worse is the greatest gaslighting campaign known to man.

"oh, those 3rd person players, they struggle on without the inherent advantage of being able to judge space and relative distance more easily..."
"oh, those 1st person players, they bear the terror of seeing the game as if through their own eyes..."
I think each side of the 1st person, 3rd person fence in RE9 has a "noble savage" view of the other

I'm still only 2 episodes into Umineko myself, and while the power gap in their relationship, and between men and women in general, is brought up, the age gap isn't. I think it's possible Ryukishi just doesn't see it as an issue.
A common thing in JP media is that they just do not care about age gaps between teens and early 20s, ages 16-24 are treated as if they're one age bracket. Other examples: Shiki and Ciel in Tsukihime, Lien and Kizuna in Somnium Files, Nina and Momoka in Girls Band Cry.

It can be, but often the manga actually starts before the anime airs in order to promote it, print media is just quicker and easier to get off the ground than animation. See: Patlabor, Eva, Utena.

it's a movie that on every level is ultimately about men and their desires, despite supposedly focusing on a cast of teen girls. Your read is entirely hinged on that idea too, so I feel a little validated.
I've always read L&P as a kind of paternalistic fantasy. There's this girl who strays from the right path and "devalues" herself, and through the narrative and the kindly narrator, Anno guides her back into the safety of her nuclear home and father's arms. I've always disliked it bc it feels like
