SCOTUS held in 1945 that foreign citizens who have been admitted to the US are protected by the First Amendment in the deportation context. This issue has also been litigated in multiple courts over the past year, in cases involving students targeted for their pro-Palestinian advocacy. 4/
This encapsulates what has driven me crazy about since she was trying to get professors fired when we were college classmates β this air of condescension, like sheβs working for the common good and just trying to get you to do the same. Obviously itβs grift but the TONE of it just kills me.
CBS destroying a brand they built up over the course of like 100 years for one criminal idiot is a pretty funny bit

By targeting the CEO of The Center for Countering Digital Hate, the Trump regime is caught in another big lie
On the Syrian Muslim Brotherhood post-Dec 8. Article referenced below in the 2nd paragraph being "a strongly-worded article by Ahmed Zaidan β special adviser to President Sharaa β published on Al Jazeeraβs website on 22 August" calling for its dissolution.

Perhaps it was tactically a rational decision, avoiding large demos that could turn anti-SDF at the drop of a hat. But in general it emphasizes that they seem to have little interest in building bridges with any nascent civil opposition to the gov't outside of reactionary Alawi and Druze sheikhs
Another notorious world record from Turkey: the regime is bragging about building the largest courtroom (capacity 2900!) in the Silivri Prison Complex known for housing hundreds of political detainees since 2010s
This week: SDF participation in the MEPS Forum, repeated clashes in Raqqah and DeZ, the Govt's later opening of all crossings with SDF, Abdi interview with Mezopotamya, Shammar sheikhs visits with both Shar' and 'Abdi, al-Buwaydani UAE detention update...

WSJ charts of Hol and Roj camp detainees
Yah, most of Deir Ez Zor also.
SDF made major advances in Aleppo and Raqqa between 11/28-12/8, almost all of southern Raqqa Countryside and SAA held area between Safira and Khafsah was under Temporary SDF control, it was crazy how frontlines changed per hour during the 11 day deterrence of aggression offensive
My estimation SDF control in S. al-Raqqah, expansion btw 0-25km along the entire front post-Dec 8
-2 oil fields S of Tabqah
-Resafa and som desert villages
-more of the Salamiyah road, including stretch btw Tabqah turnoff and Resafa
-about 5 towns and a number of villages on the Euphrates right bank
from what i can tell with mid range satellite imagery these are the current front lines (you can actually make out the pre-Dec one based on ground color)
last SDF checkpoint on Salamiyah road seems to be here 35.532576,Β 38.336934 (pic 2). and Resafa is within berms dugs this spring
If I remember correctly, SDF kept control over Resafa and expanded into the oilfields south of Tabqa Airbase in December 2024
Latest issue covers several days of Govt/SDF front line clashes in SE Raqqah, SDF-allied Shammar sheikh Mani' Humaidi's visit to Homs and Damascus, reported SDF focus pts for upcoming talks with Gov't, in addition to other local news from Aleppo and NES

Abu Mohammed Al-Jolani wants a war against the Syrian Kurds. Any attempt to launch an ethnic war against Syrian Kurds, with the premeditated intent to kill, rape, ethnic cleanse, and culturally and linguistically repress the Syrian Kurds, will be met by a regional fired, furies, and brimstones
The US Administration is now deleting its internal communications, in brazen violation of the Federal Records Act, in order to conceal its other illegal acts.
Those entrusted to enforce our Congressβs laws sit, simply watching this happen, flaccid and impotent.
Syrian Kurds are prepared if war is launched against Kobane and Northern Hasakah by Turkey/SNA/STG
Massive Israeli strikes on Damascus.
The fascist state will never stop bombing anywhere it wants until forced by its allies to do so.
One of the Lebanese Druze sectarian politicians, Wiam Wahhab, who has been more vocally pro-Israel lately, was not only one of Assadβs most loyal supporters in Lebanon, but he is also on record saying he supports Bayern Munich because βthey burned the Jewsβ
Congrats Israel on that win
Israel's army chief says it's acting with "sound judgement" in Syria after launching a major bombing campaign against its neighbour. Fighter jets attacked government targets in the capital, Damascus, and other parts of the country. "The commanders and soldiers are acting with responsibility, restraint and sound judgement," said Chief of Staff Eyal Zamir as he visited the frontier with Syria on the Is-raeli-occupied Golan Heights.
The army that is starving children in Gaza wants to let you know that bombing the sh-t out of Damascus today is pretty chill, actually
