Okay folks someone tell me this is a bad idea.
A d8 with a skzoo on each face, numbered in age order so you can use it to play D&D but itโs also recognizably SKZ fan merch.
Black and red dice with white lettering and skzoos.

Layered walkways and thrust platforms in the school design from the Adolescence of Utena film.
More of the same.
Walkways crossing the shot diagonally.
Utena looks up at the architecture towering over her, culminating in Anthy's rose garden platform.

Hi! SkyFeed is struggling and I need to find a solution.
If you don't know SkyFeed, it's a service I built 2 years ago, enabling anyone to build and publish feeds using a visual block-based editor.
SkyFeed is still hosting the most feeds on Bluesky, but that comes at a cost [1/X]

I think this story is a really good example for people to look at when it comes to understanding bias at NYT. It's not that the reporter, Dana Rubinstein, says anything outright false. But the framing, word choices, etc., add up to an unprofessional and biased account.

Excerpt from TheSickTimes article: โCommunity is how people with Long COVID are going to survive,โ said Emma Voskuil from St. Louis, Missouri, where a clinic also changed its services last summer. โWe might have 200 different symptoms that qualify under Long COVID, but thereโs always somebody in the group whoโs been through the same thing.โ

Heโs also really well informed about printing technology and the kinds of ink they use, I think. Some of it is he needs to know what will work in a talisman, but some of it is that GCC got involved in a printing-focused charity and chattered everyoneโs ears off for a month straight & he listened.

Histories of the cultivation world, I think?
If his collection happens to have a focus on no longer extant sects and a lot of unsourced oral histories, well, didnโt Wei Wuxian start teaching the importance of oral storytelling traditions at the Lan lectures?
Surely thatโs why.

He leaves the spring books to NHS (though thatโs what he says if anyone he wants to shock asks!) and the poetry to JC.
Actually his library is full of really dense cultivation treatises on the obscure corners of cultivation that tend to escape peopleโs notice. The more abstruse the better.

Deceptively fond of television, for someone born when it was in its infancy.
Iโm gonna say he collects ephemera of some kind. Flyers for stage magicians who are all scams, or old snake oil cure broadsheets, something like that. They donโt take up much space but the way they change over time โฆ

Itโs a balance I would guess โyou want a wife whose talent for cultivation is demonstrated but not one whose cultivation is so high as to endanger her fertility. Might explain why we see so few really accomplished young ladies, if theyโre trying to preserve their marriageability along multiple axes

Maybe his cultivation level isnโt that high, or wasnโt that high 20-odd years ago? Maybe it kicks in later for men than for women?

Iโve seen it speculated in some cnovels that at a certain level of cultivation women become infertile. (Most obviously and explicitly explained in โฆ MisVill I think?) What if men do too. If the trade off for potential bodily immortality is the potential death of your bloodline?

This makes perfect sense to me though. I read a lot with my ears so I can read while my hands are busy. Reading with my eyes is for bedtime and for bad fatigue days, most of the time.

You know, Iโm genuinely not sure heโs a book collector, even at 40.
Maybe books that remind him of Mei Changsu.
It would be a wildly eclectic collection whose internal connections would only be visible to Lin Chen and the Emperor, neither of whom have ever seen it.
