Finally, I know that criminal investigations are complex and can be lengthy, but is three years between first arrest and charges being confirmed really the best we can do for a case of such seriousness? Regardless of the final outcome, that is horrendous for everyone involved.
What I do hope is that Arsenal and other football clubs, for this is a much broader issue, take a look at how they deal with such situations, for sadly they are likely to reoccur....
There are serious and uncomfortable questions to answer though re the reported discussions surrounding a contract extension, but whether they can or will ever be answered is another matter....
