I realize you enjoy being perpetually offended/indignant, but there's no need to sigh Huggs. As highlighted below that piece is clearly referring to PGA Tour wins (or events like the British Open which are considered PGA Tour wins today)

It's the kind of rule you have in a largely meaningless exhibition, which is what the Ryder Cup is. I have no problem with it.
Like the Euros did in 1991.
The seeds for this were planted a long, long time ago. And as much as you don't want to admit it, St. Seve played a big role in it.
A silly exhibition getting covered like the silly exhibition it is.
Yeah, that was really embarrassing from James Corrigan...
1) It's Northwestern and 2) what was the quote and how was it disingenuous?
Still being played in the British Isles, mate...
You have got to be kidding me...
You have got to be kidding me...
And Lawrie, Curtis, Hamilton and Harmon. Oh wait, that's the other open!
You're so naive if you actually believe that Huggy...
When of course all but 2 of those "foreign" players have status on the Champions Tour (and I believe but for the whole Saudi thing Westwood would as well).
It's actually only 5 of 10 (think you missed this season's q school where only 1 Aussie qualified). And so you weren't agreeing with Huggy that the lack of American names in the top 10 of the Senior PGA leaderboard "hints at how obnoxious" the Champions Tour membership policy is???
I also can't help but chuckle at the fact that @mikeclaytongolf.bsky.social reposted Huggan's original post. Next week in Des Moines a full 13% of the field (10 of 76) hail from Australia (a country with fewer people than the state of Texas).
Look, I get you're bitter Paul Lawrie didn't get the chances you thought he deserved on the Champions Tour. But c'mon, he never won a regular PGA Tour event. Never played close to a full season on the PGA Tour. Only in top 125 of PGA Tour money list once. Never in the top 25 in the world rankings.
Took a quick glance at the field for next weeks regular Champions Tour event and 34 of the 76 players aren't American. Seriously, you know damn well the membership policy of that tour is geared to benefit golfers who had strong careers on the regular PGA Tour, regardless of nationality.
It's actually 2 Americans. And of course it looks like every other player in the top 10, with the exception of Archer and Westwood (who of course sold his soul to the Saudis and still plays on that tour), actually has status on the Champions Tour! So I have no idea what you're complaining about.
Senator Fetterman hanging out at a book launch party for noted fabulist/Republican propagandist Salena Zito...
Ten days later.
Marc Caputo. Hack reporter and an even worse pundit.
How embarrassing for the @washingtonpost.com. And they wonder why they're hemorrhaging subscribers...
In retrospect, the Feds shouldn't have dropped the murder for hire case in MD.
Any elected Democrat who looks at the events of the day and communicates βWeβll find ways to work with thisβ and not βWeβre going to fight thisβ needs to go. I get that they will have to work with it on some practical level, but when Trump is in shock and awe mode, meet the damn moment.
Sure, I (a ~35 year old man) may have been giving money to 18 year old girls I was having sex with, but they didn't think they were being trafficked!
Never trust a man who would wear a sport coat and turtleneck combo.
Eh, taking the blood money and going to work for the brutal Saudi regime should call into question the bolded.
In all seriousness, aside from the usual partisan hacks (and his mommy), I haven't seen a lot of folks standing up for the guy.
LOL
If being drunk at work is what prevents this egregiously unqualified, awful person from becoming SecDef, Iβll take it.
But itβs pathetic that his explicit support for convicted war criminals wasnβt enough on its own. Nor his white nationalist views. Nor the credible allegations of sexual assault.
