My list is basically the same as this one.

Good morning team!
Has anyone come up with a list of potential topics for the AQA Level 2 Further Maths Paper 2? ๐
#MathsToday
Doing it on the train will get me in trouble, won't it!
Did the paper on a train this morning. Ill put a lust together on the way home this afternoon! (Unless someone else does it first!)
Are you a Core Maths teacher who wants to share ideas on how to teach your specification?
Our next round of Core Maths Specification Networks is open for applications. Running throughout June, there will be networks for the AQA, OCR and Edexcel specifications!

In #MathsToday I started with my new cohort of L2 further maths student.
Ussain Bolt, Newton, Geogebra and even some limits. Lovely way to spend a sunny afternoon!
We still use tables for core. Wanted to keep it as open as possible by not getting kids to buy new calculators.
A book of big numbers with a box of multi link cubes.
In #MathsToday we went from big numbers to multilingual and finished up in the 4th dimension with @standupmaths.bsky.social
Can anyone guess what the lesson was about?
Spent 10 minutes planning then 10 discussing assumptions. Then they got to play! I mean... do maths.
The track ends with a "ramp" so they measure the distance to landing and use projectile motion to get the velocity as it leaves the track.
Introduced projectile motion by using it to find the final velocity of the car when it shot off the end of the ramp. Then revising energies to work out the average resistance over the loop the loop.
In #MathsToday, my Year 13 Further Maths class were playing with hotwheels cars!
I love mechanics!
Love this now!
Spotting that ac is the product of all 4 of the elements in the binomials was my final piece too.
xยฒ+(4/xยฒ)=12
Really nice, surd solutions.
I found the exact same when my 11s did it in September. Need to push the negative factors.
Yeah I've always found splitting the middle felt like some hand wavey nonsense. Like, I know why it works but it never felt natural.
I mean... just stick it in a calculator and get the solutions.
I've used grids for division for years. Love a new application.
I found that they dint have the patience to list out the factors.
I got very excited when I saw why it worked.
There's a free digital download somewhere. If yiu can't find it, let me know cos I've got the pdf somewhere.
Same!
I like this. It's in nix the tricks. I tried it with .y top 11s last year and they didn't like it. No idea why. Haha
So this is it...
Thanks @drfrostlearning.bsky.social for the diagonals fact. But keep it in a grid to factorise at the end so no "split the middle".

Thoughts?
Sort of...
The STEP Support Programme is running a series of webinars aimed at sixth form students preparing for a maths interview for university entrance. Watch the recording of our first webinar here: maths.org/step/ps-math...

Math maybe... Maths was discovered. ๐คฃ
I made a starter pack for KS5 maths (teachers, posters, and other people involved in it)
Most of the starter packs I've seen for maths teachers have been for all age groups, so this one is aimed towards sixth form (16-19 ish)
Please let me know if you'd like adding (or removing)!
