BREAKING: Andrew Milne, the solicitor who has been buying up hundreds of freeholds in Sheffield and then demanding money from homeowners, has been sentenced to a 24 month community order and 300 hours of unpaid work for โgrossly offensive and menacingโ emails to the court reporter Daniel Cloake.
Sheffield Theatres has what one employee describes as a โcultural monopoly,โ one that has only grown larger since the organisation absorbed the Montgomery Theatre last year.ย

Locals call it the โLoxley alpโ: a looming mound in one of the most beautiful valleys in Sheffield.
As I walk up Long Lane, the earthwork rises like the foothills of a great mountain.
Theyโre meant to be building a golf driving range here. At the moment, it looks more like the surface of the moon.
๐จ NEW: Andrew Milne has been barred from practicing as a solicitor by the Solicitors Regulation Authority and will need oversight by an SRA-approved solicitor in order to work.
A spokesperson for the SRA had this to say:
A few days ago, apparently, a group of activists went door to door in Woodseats, on the hunt for Jews.
Local woman Jean Hatchet confronted them and, in retaliation, two of them allegedly assaulted her partner.
Worse still, one of the men declared that he is โcompletely and utterly anti-Semiticโ.
