The far right in the U.S. believes that Europe and the UK swung the door wide open for immigrants with darker skin in the last 30+ years and those countries/societies as unique cultures of white people are forever lost and are now multi-racial societies filled with dark skinned criminals.

Was the Dems message really “just go to college“? The Dems have been the pro union party for four decades. And Bill Clinton raised taxes on the rich, Al Gore bashed Bush for wanting to cut taxes for the 1%, Obama promised to and did raise taxes on the rich, and Biden notably failed to do so.
I’m less struck by his stupidity and posing, and more taken aback by his lust for killing other human beings.
If we’re going to go by what the founding fathers envisioned, I’d like to think that the Founding Fathers envisioned impeachment and removal for something like this rather than a post invasion ratification and funding vote.
American people voted for Trump, but the Senate Republicans voted to confirm this guy. So much blood is on their hands.
This kind of rhetoric is corroding our nation’s very soul.
There are thorny questions of “just war” but this is clear: no follower of Jesus, indeed no one who believes in any kind of loving God or even simply in humanity can be a cheerleader for “death and destruction” of our fellow man.

Really it should be stated that it was the “Dulles CIA under President Eisenhower” that overthrew the Iranian government. It wasn’t a collective decision of the American people. Unlike the War in Iraq, or the election of Trump and all the awful consequences that will flow from that.
Plus the Brits wanted basically all the profits from their oil resources and the US overthrew their government when it showed resistance to that idea.
Electing Trump the first time could have been seen as an aberration, a quirk of US politics that would not be repeated. But electing him a second time sent a clear signal to the rest of the world that it is imperative to reduce military and economic dependence on the US because it is unstable.
What about American law, in particular the US Constitution?

Or the 2022 midterm results might have simply been good because Biden’s coalition was frequent voters rather than the Obama and Trump coalitions which are/were infrequent voters (in presidential elections mostly).
