transitioning to a woman and then wearing a garment called "boyshorts." make it make sense.
1 thing you gotta realize is that cis people's ability to clock someone is lower than trans people's by a genuinely heroic degree. this is partially them being dumb, partially them caring less about gender, but mostly their assumption that even if trans people exist they'll probably never meet one
the author not taking lessons of what Anna's Archive has been doing on a larger scale, not conceptualizing bittorrent as a poor man's CDN, not knowing about webseed, failing to take into account that it's the popular stuff that consumes the most of servers' upload rates
the more I learn about this site the more surprised I am it survived this long in the first place, like how do you even get to the point where you pay $6000 per month out of your own pocket and not think there's something to be done about this
anglosphere political culture in the 2020s
- unable to build effective mass transit
- existential anxiety over trans people
- perpetual subservience to donald trump
venturing into the dark never a good idea!

that one friend that's too library: you could get that for free at the library
can we talk about the fetishization of military power in these games and how they function as propaganda yet or...?
was this guy ever not coming up with stupid bullshit? why is he even pretending to be a democrat
I hope Gavin Newsom bleeds out to death together with the rest of the fascist enablers
Thomas Keith @iwasnevrhere_ The Pentagon has burned through so many missiles in the Iran exchange that Trump is dragging Lockheed and Raytheon CEOs into the White House like a failing factory boss demanding overtime. The military admits the Iran strike consumed more long-range munitions than 4 years of Ukraine. Trump is posting fantasies about "unlimited supply" while Raytheon can barely promise to "eventually" reach 1,000 Tomahawks a year and the Pentagon only budgeted 57 for 2026. The industrial base is so hollowed out they're threatening contractors with punishment if they don't ramp up, even though the system physically can't produce at wartime tempo. America just showed the world that one regional confrontation with Iran drained decades of planning assumptions.
shot & chaser because lmfao
low (as in next to none) number of seeders, and/or inability to connect to the seeders (either you, or the seeders have to have port forwarded either manually or through uPNP)
a parody of that windows 12 """""""news"""""""" story going around from tech4gamers.com claiming windows 12 is real, releasing this year, and my friend
i only get my news from the finest of websites, and folks, its bad

my wife says that if someone walked up to you and went, βhey weβll pay you a salary but at some point we will tell you to murder people, and it might just be one person but itβll probably be more,β that would be more obviously vile to the people who make the But Poverty argument for the US military
cis people lmao
It's endlessly frustrating when people do not mention a unit at all, it's why I always ensure that they do in conversations I'm present in.
1 pg/ml of estradiol represents a quantity that is around 4.5 times larger than 1 pmol/l. That's a substantial difference!
the united states might be the only country on the planet where its military is entirely volunteer based but the majority of discourse around it acts like conscription exists. i hope people can maybe read the room a little when soldiers are currently slaughtering people in west asia again
Imagine: a sad spindly nerd guy who finds himself turned by a vampire lady when he begs her to save him from his dreary life. She warns him that he'll become like her. He assumed she just meant a vampire, but when 'his' breasts started to swell, she realized. And now she's a chubby happy vampire
Iβve been seeing people refer to the need to DIY hrt as a βriskβ and I just feel like weβre overstating the safety provide by transitioning with a doctor supervising. Like at least when I was diying, my doctor didnβt ignore my non transsexual health concerns in favor of negging me for my levels
there are so, SO many barriers people may have to cross in order to experience games "officially". financial, geographic, political, etc. emulation requires one decently powerful device and an internet connection. people who can only afford those two things deserve to experience art too
arguments between people who think you should fork out hundreds of dollars on the aftermarket and people who argue about preserving those games after all the consoles and discs and cartridges die are kinda talking around the point. art is really special. it deserves to be experienced
the preservation of games currently isn't treated as seriously as preservation of books. this has to change.
the original hardware is temporary, the emulation is forever. it is in everyone's interest that the emulation is capable of replicating the original as closely as possible before we lose the opportunity forever.
if the emulator can't replicate the original console, that's bad news. not for the emulator, but for the original console.
the hardware, the people who made the hardware, the people who played on the hardware won't be around forever.
