Okay - so now I've resolved this I wanted to discuss what happened, and the culprit wasn't Ghost, but Name dot com. Ghost got in touch and ran down the problem, and I moved my DNS stuff to Cloudflare, which has resolved the issues. I still recommend Ghost but use Cloudflare for DNS.
