Politics is heavy stuff. Lives are on the line. But if we can learn from two political sides about how they engage healthily in the democratic process, and we can all just play some mario kart, I hope it will make me (and you) feel a little better and act a little smarter.

Oh, and we're also going to play a fake version of Mario Kart during the interview. I love Mario Kart and I hope to beat all who join me, whether liberal or conservative, in fake Mario Kart.

I'll be interviewing folks from the conservative and Republican side and from the liberal and Democratic side. I'm interested in learning from people who are pursuing clear goals with concrete strategies in politics. I want to share their ideas with my students.
