The Park Ranger told us ladybug mating season? No matter what beetles or ladybugs...a very very cool thing to stumble upon!!!!!!
Every post at the parking spot to trail head..Goodspeed Trail Head at Sugar Loaf state park in Santa Rosa (about 7 posts) were covered with 1000s ..and the logs on the ground also...park ranger told us mating season!
They had a convention of sorts at our local state park!
