What’s the theory?!?

So obviously I thought I’d drive myself mad trying to be Picasso for this rough (normally I’m trying to be Van Gogh so at least it was a different variety of frustration) the light and love generated is mutual in my version though. Wouldn’t it be lovely to be Picasso eh?!

I was totally blown away by how Picasso uses light in this drawing to show the adoration from the woman, the light is coming from within her, shining onto an unaware (and rather undeserving imo) man.

I was in Bishops Storford this morning and found a friend in the library :-)

I’m sure yours are wonderful. In these I’m working through an obsession with how surface (flat tonal shapes) and line interact… trying in my sketchbook to tonally solve my problems with colour - which in my drawings is always the surface interacting with my dip pen line… forever a work in progress.
