I really wouldnβt recommend it. Some of the things they wrote donβt even feel like itβs me. They are awful
βWe accept that there is a high risk of death by misadventure but it is a risk we are happy to live with.β MH services and social work genuinely do not care and Iβm fed up of them

That is confusing
I applied for help with my heating earlier in the year through a website called lightning reach and I got so many free things from it. I got draft excluders, lightbulbs, hot water bottles, a flask, a huge electric blanket and loads more. I thought Iβd share incase anyone else wants to apply

Got detained yesterday for not taking my meds even though I canβt take them without carers? I ended up spending the whole day and night in a&e to only get 1 dose of my medication and then sent home. Back to no meds and Iβm now too scared to ask anyone about it incase this happens again

Old carers stocked me up on banana milkshakes that should last a while. No idea what to do about meds. I cant function without them and last time I ended up in hospital because of having none. I think Iβll email my social worker about respite care to see if thatβs an option

Itβs really not. My old carers really tried to get my social worker to put something in place but she said she wouldnβt try calling the emergency carers till Monday! Itβs too late by then
I donβt want police to be here and itβs not a police job but pressing my alarm is the only way for me to get help. Itβs just a rubbish situation

She said sheβll call the emergency carers to see if theyβll come back but she didnβt think they would. Old carers told her I will have to press my community alarm which means police will come. Social worker didnβt like that and told me not to. But what other choice do I have?
The meeting was frustrating. No care will be in place because none can be found. I get that but itβs still not ok. Social worker told me to βmanage through itβ so I asked her if she had ever been in meds withdrawal or been left in so much pain you canβt move. She didnβt have an answer to that

The reason we stopped using functioning levels in autism years ago is not because all autistic people are the same and need the same support.
It's because the labels severe/mild/high/low are simplistic to the point of being meaningless, given the diversity of autistic people.
Itβs crap :( I hope this social worker listens to them and actually puts something in place. Iβll see what happens at the meeting though
