Would pour money so hard for an A6 planner with the Hobonichi weeks layout, 3.7mm grid, and made out of Iroful paper. Would be pure fountain pen glory. Maybe in an alternate universe.

The chemical structure of skatole, the chemical responsible for the smell of feces in mammals. It was drawn with a coral (pink) TWSBI Eco fountain pen using Diamine Flamingo Pink ink.
Things are going to sh*t right now, so this seems appropriate.
Love the idea, but would a fountain pen bleed through? The paper used in books feels different than typical FP friendly paper

Fountain pen doodling! Eine Schnecke. Done with this Sailor Ancora Pansy fountain pen (B) and Sailor Studio 224 ink on Iroful paper. Not a huge drawing, but still used up a lot of the converter. ποΈ
hardcover copy of Endling by Jasmin Schreiber with a bunch of small sticky notes marking different pages
Very much enjoyed this wonderful and unique read! Loved how a celebration of biodiversity was tightly integrated into the story. Also really liked how it portrayed a characterβs extreme anxiety disorder. ππ
What is the orange ink in the first line? It sings! π βοΈ
Was this your βgateway orange penβ? π
Interesting to hear how you came to have 2 of these! Thatβs great they were willing to replace the bad nib (and with a whole new pen ποΈ)
I have one of these also! The amount of joy I get from it compared to its price is super, super high. Itβs just so small, lovely, and orange. Iβm not normally an orange person, but it paired with some orange ink makes me smile π
Wow, that is super cool! Hope to see them on the feed sometime π€©
Those pens have lived through so much history.
Congrats! Also love the paper choice! Great stuff.
My stash is from a Japan trip a year or so ago π―π΅
Fingers crossed for you! Itβs not as easy for me to find from Germany as I would hope π£. Amazon has it, but itβs overpriced.
a doodle of a tree in Sailor Studio 224 fountain pen ink with a Sailor 14k broad nib on Iroful paper
Little fountain pen tree doodle in Sailor Studio 224 ink. Based on some tree doodle from Google image search results. The ink shading added to the experience and result! Maybe should doodle more often with FP ink.
Trying to distract myself from FOTUS EOs so I'm doing what everyone says not to doβinking a bunch of fountain pens at onceβand then I'm re-reading some books I enjoyed because then I won't have any shocks I can't handle at this time. #Benu #Benupens #fountainpens #booksky
Wow, what a gorgeous set of inks π thanks for sharing!
Ink swabs for my favorite Sailor Studio inks
These are the Sailor Studios I keep going back to over and over: 150, 264, 280 (an olive with pink multi shading), 162, 237 and 252, a pinkish grayish brown that really needs Tomoe River paper and a juicy nib to look its best. Otherwise it can look rather muddy and blah
Thanks for all these suggestions! Iβve never tried an iron gall ink but would like to. The De Atramantis document fog and Platinum lavender black inks in your sample I find especially lovely. Thank you for sharing π€©
Off white gridded paper with a list of fountain pen inks written out, each name written with that ink: diamine registrarβs blue black, platinum Classic Lavendar black, platinum classic citrus black (which has oxidized a day after being written from golden when wet to dark khaki), forest black, carbon black, de Atramentis document black-blue, and de Atramentis document fog grey. An acrylic nib holder with a gold Jowo stub nib lies under the list, still inked with the fog grey.
Hereβs a snap of my currently inked iron gall inks, plus two more De Atramentis document inks I like a lot but donβt happen to have inked right now. All of them work well in Japanese fine nibs and flow very well; I think theyβd suit your Sailors.
I have a sample of Sailor Studio 224 ink and find it interesting and inspiring π
Main things on my fountain pen wishlist at the moment: more Benu pens (only have a Benu Briolette), some Sailor Studio inks (maybe 162 and 123?), more document / waterproof inks (please share recommendations if you have some! π)

pen testing page in Hobonichi Weeks planner
ghosting on the back of the page
Hobonichi Weeks pen testing page again, this time with a better photo, and a couple new entries added. Saw no bleed through from this page, just a normal amount of ghosting, but unfortunately have seen some mild bleed through on other pages. Hoping the paper quality improves for next year.
writing sample of Pilot Tsuwairo Blue ink from a Sailor Tuzu F fountain pen in a Hobonichi grid notebook. The blue ink color is more vibrant in real life.
Thank you! π Tsuwairo Blue in a Sailor Yuzu F is an almost perfect writing experience for me. The line width is consistent, and Iβve never seen a hard start, whereas I have seen slight hard starts in Preppies with Octopus Write & Draw inks.
These are on Iroful paper. So far, my favorite paper type for showing off ink properties.

writing sample with Diamine Jacaranda ink on Rhodia dotpad paper, showing some feathering
Inking up this Kaweco Sport BB nib fountain pen with Diamine Jacaranda (leftover from Inkvent 2023) was an experience. Either this ink is very wet, or this pen is kind of spurty. Cool results with lovely shading on Iroful paper. On most other papers, some feathering happens. Love trying new combos!
Whatβs the multicolored pastel one on the far right?
Gorgeous pens!
Itβs so pretty. π₯Ή
I was between this one, the bright pink one, and the dark blue fading to transparent light blue one.
