Walk your pups in the grass so their paws donβt burn!
Check out the π₯ low temps from last night. Kenosha, Racine, and West Bend didnβt cool below 80Β° π₯΅.
Our average HIGH temp for today is 79Β°.
Over 22,000 without power on the hottest day of the year.
Itβs going to be a hot one!
PLEASE be extra careful if youβre planning on cooling off in Lake Michigan today. Strong southerly winds will create dangerous currents at our local beaches!
Today is the first of three very hot and humid days in SE WI. Afternoon temps will reach the mid 90s today, feeling like the 100s with the humidity.
We wonβt cool down much tonight with overnight lows in the mid 70s for most, but staying in the upper 70s in Milwaukee.

A couple of stronger storms are possible this evening into tonight across southern Wisconsin.
Best chance for strong storms with wind and hail will be in SW WI. Storms weaken as they move east.

If youβve been eagerly awaiting some summer heat, today is for you!
Itβll likely end up being our warmest day so far this year. Lake breeze looks to develop around 5-6pm which will cool us nicely into the 70s and upper 60s this evening.

βWhat is this thing that always shows up on radar?β is a question I get a lot, especially during storm season.
This is the Butler Ridge wind farm! The turbines are tall and wide enough that the radar beam in Sullivan hits it.
WI remains under a level 1 risk for severe storms today. An isolated storm or two is possible between 2-4pm, but the better chance for rain and storms arrives around sunset and continues into Wednesday morning. Hail is the main threat, but an isolated tornado can't be ruled out.
sunset for 06/01
Temps warm into the low 80s once again today with more noticeable humidity, but DON'T cool off by swimming in Lake Michigan.
Strong southerly winds will create dangerous currents in the lake today.

Whoβs ready for some summer warmth?! ππ»ββοΈ
Looks like weβll get some warmer weather in the Great Lakes region in early June.
Average highs in Milwaukee in early June are 72-74Β°.
The steady rain is exiting, but youβll want to keep the umbrella handy as off and on showers continue not only for the rest of today but for a good chunk of tomorrow too. A few storms are also possible now through sunset, but severe weather is not expected.
