Supposed to be cold and snowy again next week. Maybe we'll make it to Boler before the end of the season after all!

This makes me so angry.
It makes me crazy when they put them right in the middle of all the driveways in the neighbourhood. Later, everyone has to park on the road, get out, move the bins, and then park in the driveways. It just seems silly.
Such a good idea to just have your work top in your office! My work space is just the corner of the guest room that Nana uses each weekend. So it's a shared space. But the camera doesn't show the bed, or the doodle sprawled out on it π
I was feeling fancy today so I added a necklace π

Who else is still doing fancy on top, sweat pants on bottom, and dog at their feet for work? I hold it lightly but I am grateful for my online teaching gig!
That's a good point. He has forever hosted them anyways, but it is higher stakes now. Deleting.
What they have seen in their community is two-fold: ICE and their accomplices have unleashed hell, but in response Minneapolis has become the purest example of the kingdom of God that my friend has ever seen. That community has been radicalized by love and it is so beautiful. The battle continues.
Thank you! We are sharing good memories and having some laughs together.
Yup.
I love a ranked ballot. Please can we have more of these!?
Each year, on March 9, in memory of my dear dad, we launch tiny paper boats down the river. This year, both rivers in town are raging and the authorities are insisting that everyone stay away from the riverbanks. So we are having his favourite Thai food and playing his favourite card game instead. β€οΈ
No relation but strong resemblance.
He is a goldendoodle (double doodle actually) and he was our pandemic pup (2020) because kiddo was lonely and desperately wanted a brother.
Regret to announce that we've entered into Wrong Coat Season. Every coat you wear from now until Mis-April will be the wrong coat for the weather.
I feel like I need to share this again.
Thank you. β€οΈ
It's been nine years since we held his hands and sang him home. I still sometimes wake up in a panic because my dreaming self realizes that my dad doesn't know where I live. π₯Ή My dad was the best, and I continue to love and miss him always. β€οΈ
There are a few individuals who never fail to reach out on the anniversary of my dad's death to remind me that he was beloved and he is remembered.
Be one of those people. When someone dies, record the date and reach out to their loved ones each year. You have no idea how much it is appreciated. β€οΈ
Close-up of goldendoodle who thinks he is a lap dog and also looks like Wilford Brimley.
Proof of life
On this International Womenβs Day, we remain vigilant about what we must protect.
And we remain determined about accomplishing the work ahead.
Yes! AI can do great things!
Maybe next time!!!
The whole bird is so much time and work the day of, but I also need to package it all up after. And then we have to eat turkey all week. And then I need to make soup. And it's just too much work. This was magic for me. Also, yay for fridge space!
Two turkey breasts cooked in stoneware and three turkey drumsticks cooked in a cast-iron pan.
I have only now discovered that you can cook just parts of a turkey instead of a whole big turkey and then it doesn't have to be a full-day project. This is a gamechanger for me. Turkey dinner for eight was no big deal tonight.
I was on an opioid for a kidney stone.... and all my wedding invitations went out upside down.
I've front-end loaded my Canadian flag now. Maybe that will help! π
Ugh indeed.
Ha! I spent a chunk of my childhood attending an Australian international school in PNG β so I returned to small-town Ontario with a very strong Aussie accent. I can still hear it in my voice when I hear a recording of myself, 40 years later.
I can't believe Netflix is now $27!!! I am going to bundle our streaming accounts into our Rogers tv package and save about $25 per month. But how do I get them to work on the tv that is not equipped with Rogers box? There is no Rogers app on our Roku TVs. Does anyone know of a work-around?
I absolutely agree. Shame has to switch sides. The audacious lack of shame for truly shameful behaviour is somehow polluting all aspects of our society. Shame needs to shift from victims to careless perpetrators and enablers.
