P.S. If you're ever wondering why our pictures have faces covered, it's for a host of reasons all centered on the ethical importance of anonymity, including its role in social capital and maintaining a leaderless group. We highly value all people, not just the ones featured in our stories.

I don't know about you, but most of us have never even seen a harp in person. It left a few of us a little jelly for missing out but also just so happy to see others having fun!

We are down in MLK Plaza every single Friday from 6 - 7pm, rain or shine. Got an instrument? Bring it on down :)

If we had wanted to get into an argument, we would have started by trashing the goofy ass take that one should pay dues to US political parties. We encourage everyone to move to action in ways that build a better world, not build the next democratic party.

You used FNB as an example of being politically serious, not us. If one must either pay dues or participate with FNB to be politically serious, then one need not pay dues.

Our honest take is that no one needs to belong to any dues-paying organization to be "politically serious," and anyone anywhere can participate in mutual aid.

If you need new friends, come hang with us.

We cannot express this enough: If you are looking for a new organization to work with for mutual aid, skillsharing, defense, etc., start with your friends!

Food Not Bombs began as, and continues to be, an active protest against war and poverty. We work cooperatively as an autonomous collective to counter the exploitative nature of capitalism. When over a billion people go hungry each day, how can we spend another dollar on war?

We believe food is a right, not a privilege! We strive to offer a space for community to gather in opposition to the oppressive conditions imposed upon us.
