I’ve been trying to use my art to be more visible in the world as a trans person, I hope it helps others know they aren’t alone.

FFS stop talking about a fucking computer prompt as if it's a person. Someone with no respect for creativity or imagination just output a soulless bit of fakery using a planet-killing piracy machine.

Our government keeps telling us America can't afford universal health care or expanding Medicare for ALL. There's a reason for that.🗽

Also, that headline is a tease. We talk about what might have been, but there is no Slayers Season Two.

MAJOR BREAKING: Saudi Arabia, UAE, Kuwait, and Iraq cut oil by 6,700,000 barrels per day.

- This is 33% of their total oil production.
- This is 6% of global production.

Meanwhile Iran says they are ready for a long war.

Trump did that, not Biden, not Harris, it was 100% Trump.

Millionaires stopped paying into Social Security for the rest of 2026 today.

Billionaires stopped paying in on January 1st.

You're going to pay in for 298 more days.

This makes zero sense. The wealthy should pay in all year like the rest of us.

Scrap the cap.

You average normie Democrat in 2026 loves AOC, wants to abolish ICE, and thinks Israel shouldn’t get another penny from us.

It’s laughable how out of touch centrist consultants and politicians are.

Q: "You just suggested that Iran somehow got its hands on a Tomahawk and bombed its own elementary school…but you're the only person in your government saying this…Why are you the only person saying this?"

Trump: "Because I just don't know enough about it."

I understand that there are a lot of folks on the left who instinctively recoil from religious language, and with good reason given its use by the right.

But please listen to this, and focus on how he's trying to realign "Christian values" so they align with and advance progressive policy goals.

If you’re roughly my age, it’s wild to reflect on the optimism for the future Americans felt when Obama was elected — young Americans spontaneously took to the streets to celebrate! — and contrast with what we face today. The falloff over the past 18 years is hard to process.

My favorite thing about Women in Horror Month is seeing the wonderful posts in which my friends and colleagues are lifting one another up. As writers, women give horror so much of its depth and innovation, and a huge % of the genre's readers are women. But I'd like to take a moment to shout out...

The DOJ released evidence, which the FBI deemed credible, that the President of the United States sexually and physically assaulted a 13 year old girl AND she was afraid to talk about it because Trump would kill her—and it’s somehow not the biggest scandal in American history?

AI error or not, Iran school bombing is a permanent stain on America’s soul | Will Bunch A debate on AI in warfare obscures the truth about an Iran school bombing. U.S. humans are to blame for this war crime.

They had names. They had beautiful faces. And they had the same dreams as your kids - crushed when American "precision" bombs slammed into their Minab elementary school, killing 175

Don't blame AI for this. Blame the sick humans who see war as a game

There are a lot of posts out there with the close-up visual of Markwayne Mullin on January 6, but this is a better perspective.

He’s not protecting others; he’s protecting himself and hiding. You can see plenty of people at the entry door, ready to take on the insurrectionists, but not Markwayne.

Maggie Gyllenhaal wrote and directed it with fury, sorrow, humor, and more than a bit of madness. I don't think I'd have liked it nearly as much on a TV screen, however. If you're at all interested, you should see it in theaters. (I saw it on Imax and was swept away.) 2/2

THE BRIDE is tanking at the box-office, which bums me out. It's a wild, daring vision full of what's often called female rage, but also about otherness and loneliness and what makes a monster. I was completely captivated. There's a lot of negativity out there, but this is a brilliant film. 1/2
