The clubs need to leave too, other than (artificial) engagement stats what do they really get from that platform? The replies are all blue tick bots and the wider ecosystem is grim because the algorithm rewards ragebait and bigotry.
New season, same old Ferrari #AusGP
hell yeah, one last ride
The words "proverbial" and "brewery" come to mind when the FIA is involved.
Manchester United fans unveiled a pro-immigration banner during Sundayβs fixture against Crystal Palace in response to comments from minority owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe.

Solidarity with Jenny and everyone affected by the cuts to Access to Work.
It seems like a lot of people still don't know that he admitted to his lawyer that he committed sexual assault. We know this because his lawyer was hacked, so it wouldn't be admissible as evidence in court, but we still do know that he told his lawyer he did it.
This is the list of classics that I'm working my way through. I've only read Of Mice and Men (I haven't forgiven the classmate who spoiled it for us all on the first day of reading it) and Pride and Prejudice. There's also the bonus of most of these being available at the library. Excited!

The front cover of Agnes Grey by Anne BrontΓ«
7/40: Agnes Grey by Anne BrontΓ«. Despite being born and raised near BrontΓ« Country, I've never actually read any of their novels. Agnes Grey is a nice first step and you really get the sense that Anne saw and went through a lot in her life that she processed through her writing.

The front cover of Fyodor Dostoyevsky
6/40: White Nights by Fyodor Dostoyevsky. I've set myself a mini challenge of reading the classics in a list I'll link on a quote of this post. One for the yearners. There's something wonderful about how something published in 1848 can resonate in 2026.

Sometimes I remember how we lost to a 10 man Everton at home under the previous manager and all I can do is laugh.
The BBC Sport Winter Olympics montage does not disappoint.
It's hard to reconcile my love of football with the realities of the game when there's billionaire club owners parroting far right talking points and pundits, managers, and clubs themselves blaming players for the racism they face.
I watched Dear England last night and left with nostalgia for the Southgate era and a little bit of excitement for this year's tournament (or as much as I could muster considering what's going on in that part of the world), only to see that once again Vinicius Jr was racially abused. Grim.
The algorithm is now serving me videos of Punjab set to DtMF, as if I needed the added emotional damage.
You may laugh, but the Macbeths are a much better role model for a marriage than Romeo and Juliet. They discuss their problems (killing the king of Scotland), share their hobbies (killing the king of Scotland), and resolve their conflicts (by killing the king of Scotland).
The front cover of raw content by Naomi Booth
5/40: raw content by Naomi Booth. Deeply unsettling and I couldn't stop thinking about it for days afterwards. The author herself is from my neck of the woods - there's something I really love about the way she describes this part of the world.

I don't speak a word of Spanish but there's something about the song DtMF that makes me tear up every time I listen to it and if that doesn't prove that (good) art has the power to transcend borders, I don't know what will.

Give Uncle Casemiro his goal!
All the flack that Bruno gets about supposedly not being a good captain, not a word gets said about Romero's addiction to red cards and Instagram statements.
The athletes walking on ice with a teammate on their back during the Olympics opening ceremony are truly the strongest soldiers.
The front cover of Bring The House Down by Charlotte Runcie
4/40: Bring the House Down by Charlotte Runcie. Put this on my list after seeing it in @exeuntmagazine.bsky.social. Very juicy, touches on all the discourse points - the Industryβ’οΈ, shitty men with power, reviewing as an art form, online mobs - without being overbearing.

The beautiful game.
The front cover of the book Kitchen Confidential by Anthony Bourdain
3/40: Kitchen Confidential by Anthony Bourdain. What can I say about this man that hasn't been said already? What a loss to the world. I'd never read any of his works before but I'm glad I started with this one. It's very much of its time but that's not an issue here. 4.5 β

The only Arsenal fans I feel bad for are Ian Wright and Zohran.
Fair enough, Dorgu might actually be a Gareth Bale regen.
Sky Sports are blatantly manifesting a Keane and Vieira fist fight but Keane's recent behaviour doesn't exactly make me want to root for him.
