Thank you for saving those. I didn’t get any saved, but I’ve got years of pictures at least.

Yeah. I’m gonna need to process this for a while. Reconnecting to the people who got scattered helps though.
It feels really weird to be so fragmented. For so long we’ve had social groups and been connected on that app. Now we’re scattered around the internet.
A painting of a red fox resting their head on a gravestone. The gravestone reads “what will survive of us is love.” The background is green with wildflowers like yarrow. The general mood of the art piece is mourning and resilience.
Thank you to everyone who’s keeping in touch here. There’s a lot I’d like to say, but right now feels like a time for introspection. Stay safe, alert, and tend to your communities.
A man who goes to the movies dressed as Maui just to see the kids smile?? Gimme fourteen of ‘em. #midwestmaui
A large Karakachan Guardian dog with a black, blocky head and a white, sturdy body sits in frosted grass. He has warm orange-brown eyes and is staring intently into the camera. His fur is long and his ears are floppy and soft.
This is Eclipse. I’m helping him with his chickens for a few weeks.
He’s a Karakachan Livestock Guardian dog. They’re a large, discerning breed, super smart, and not afraid of anything. His fave snack is freeze dried liver and his fave hobby is racing the neighbor’s cars.
Cheese doesn’t get enough credit for carrying fatigue away. Gimme some Dubliner. Meanwhile, our current recovery game is Dredge, but only because I finished both Subnauticas.
A small, brown, juvenile bird sits on an open hand. The bird has a yellow beak that’s slightly parted, and looks alarmed, but is safe. In the background is some healthy green foliage and mossy stone with a vine running across it. The sun is out.
I hear “you can’t change anyone’s mind,” but I don’t agree. That hasn’t been my experience. People change when they’re inspired to— and it’s not that hard to be inspiring.
Society is a garden, and each of us sew seeds with everything we do. Be patient while they germinate, and mind what you plant.
A young girl with long dark hair stares up with a fierce expression at a heavily-armored police officer. She’s unarmed, while he wears a helmet, bullet proof vest, and shoulder pads. They’re nose-to-nose, and she looks unafraid, despite having no protection. Her coat is a deep red and she has a black scarf and delicate gold earrings. In the background are other protestors and policemen. The sky is grey and overcast.
A large white and grey cat with long hair stares into the camera. He has blue eyes, and slightly pinned ears, giving him an annoyed or judgmental expression. In the background is a green kitchen with yellow-orange cabinets, and a window with white trim. The floors are wooden and a deep orange-red color.
I think I like it here. Obligatory cat picture, because this is the internet.
