On this day, 9th February 1931, the Welshpool & Llanfair Light Railway ended its original passenger services ππ΄σ §σ ’σ ·σ ¬σ ³σ Ώ The 2ft 6in gauge line survived as freight only until 1956, when volunteers stepped in to save the railway for future generations.
