Words from the heart, and exactly what I needed to read right now. If you're a #storyteller or other artist, you might want to read them too. Art in spite of hard times, art because of hard times. Thanks Laura.

I've created a starter pack for #oralstorytelling. Please tell me who I've missed so I can add them. Let's grow the pack together so it won't take us hours of trawling to find each other β€οΈ go.bsky.app/8PFSncD #performancestorytelling #traditionalstorytelling
oops no, you had most of those, but I think you've missed @dragonflytales.bsky.social and @tomjuniper.bsky.social. Both great people with a story.
This is a great list, thank you, I've found some great storytellers I'd missed! Here's a few I think you've missed! Csenge Zalka, @fabulatrix.bsky.social Sarah Hurley @sara-hurley.bsky.social Sarah Brady bsky.app/profile/sara...

The magnolia tree round the corner from me has been in flower all week - it always reminds me it's time to get spring #stories out. This year mine are Calvino's #folktale The Baby Snake, and the story of magpie's nest from Joseph Jacobs. What are other storytellers' #springfavourites?
dream on.... in Cambridge the cycle lanes tend to give out at no notice when the traffic gets tricky.
One of my favourite stories comes from the Marshall Islands: The Canoe Race. Full of questions about the ocean and the people who live on and by it.
π GOOD NEWS! π
The Marshall Islands and South Korea have now passed the Global Ocean Treaty into law π³
A total TWENTY ONE countries have now made the Global Ocean Treaty official - so where is the UK?!
This is so so sad. Palestinian Director of 'No Other Land' Attacked by Settler Mob, Arrested by Soldiers, Israeli Co-director Says www.haaretz.com/israel-news/...
In this Ohio diner, it was a tradition: eggs and waffles, big cup of Folgers, then open the old text message app to read about the administration's secret plans to bomb Yemen. But now the woke mob wants to take all of that away.
I think that little girl is still right there inside you!
I don't get that much chance to give my grandkids advice. They lecture me on what to do. They are slightly disappointed with me because I haven't got rid of Trump yet.
I visited the community centre there recently. At first it looked a bit grim, right next to a fence with diggers the other side. Then I talked to the people running the centre and working for the developers and changed my mind: really inspiring to see them building community in the old barracks.
20 years ago, a show from the Crick Crack Club completely changed how I thought about telling stories. Last night I saw it again at @cambridgejunction.bsky.social , and hey,Three Snake Leaves did that whole thing all over again, only better crickcrackclub.com/whats-on/
Happy International Women's Day. This is my great-grandmother, Annie Clark, who took her young family from Capetown all the way to Italy so that she could go to art school, and later set up a nursing station in the Boer war.
A tube stop ad that says "hate doesn't sell. just ask Tesla". includes a graph showing that Tesla's share price dropped 30% in February, and a picture of Elon Musk doing the salute at Trump's inauguration
π¨Teslaβs stock price just crashed. Couldnβt happen to a nicer nazi xxx
A bus stop ad that says "X - delete your account - if the bar lets Nazis in, it's a Nazi bar" with a picture of Elon Musk saluting

A great way to spend #WorldBookDay - launching a brand new sensory story at wonderful Samuel Pepys Special School. There was noise, mud, exceptionally sticky playdough... and some lively dancing!
π¨ BREAKING: The government has just committed to NOT issuing new oil and gas licenses in the North Sea.
This is a HUGE WIN for the climate π
...also in the UK...
I told stories underneath this beautiful but heart-breaking picture.
What a great place to start a week of family storytelling events with #TalkingTogetherInCambridgeshire #FestivalOfStories

The Cambridge Corn Exchange: had its foundation stone laid by a Mayor called John Death; gave a tea party for 1000 people; Johnny Cash played there; and they've asked me to tell stories there next Monday. A dream job or what?
