ikr. i think for a lot of ppl its just, like, they're more used to drawing human bodies / arent that into robots but are into, like, object heads... ? idk / they want him to have squish or fat (which, if ur a real robot fan you can figure out how to give robots squish and fat anyway). many reasons..
