Had an incredible time learning and networking at CAIRIBU this year. Such a warm welcome to the urology field!
I'm delighted to share the latest pub from my PhD work! In this work, co-first authored by Monet Roberts and myself, we found that systemic taxane chemotherapy damaged the meningeal lymphatics using in vitro, ex vivo, and in vivo models β¬οΈπ§ͺ

Very excited to work with Carmen this fall! π
Happy to share a new pre-print from my graduate work at VT! We tested how the engineered lymphatic stroma models I developed could be used to study central nervous system leukemia β¬οΈπ§ͺ #scisky

Alongside that funding is extensive career development and connection with the benign urology community. I am thrilled for this next step in my scientific training! π π§ͺ
Thank you to the program directors, Dr. Amundsen, Dr. Jayes, and Dr. Kameny for the opportunity!

I'm very excited to share that I've been selected as a Duke University KURe Scholar! With this funding, I will study the long-term impacts of radiotherapy on the bladder using tissue engineering with the goal of understanding and treating radiation cystitis in cancer survivors #scisky
Postdoc @jennhammel.bsky.social representing the lab today at the 2025 North Carolina Postdoc Symposium at the NC Biotechnology Center. We have an incredible community of scientists here in NC! #scisky #academicsky π§ͺπ¬
Very excited to share a new publication from my PhD work on our engineered lymph node stroma model! We saw flow-mediated changes to T cell egress and stroma morphology and inflammation π§ͺπ¬ @pompanolab.bsky.social

Very excited to be starting my post doc at Duke with the Gerecht Lab! I'll be studying the dynamics of extracellular matrix and immune function #immunoengineering
Hi Erik! I'd like to be added. I'm a post doc in biomedical engineering at Duke University. Here's my ORCID page: orcid.org/0000-0001-56...
Figure from paper. (a) Immunofluorescence images of human tonsil, showing adjacent zones for T cells and B cells. (b) Schematic of T and B cell differentiation and interaction, leading to IgM production. (c) Schematic of a planar microfluidic chip with three adjacent lanes for cell-laden hydrogel, in which T cells and B cells can be loaded separately or mixed together.
My whole team is excited to share our preprint with you, on an #OrganOnChip model of T cell-B cell interactions in the human lymph node! This is a model of antibody production starting from naive T cells and B cells, in a 3D microenvironment. #immunoengineering
