the majority of these men wanted to prevent as many trans people as possible from transitioning while also making it so any who did were sexually available to them personally.

In this way, trans women are very much women. Only seen through the lens of sexual availability and reproductive ability. Trans men are men being attacked for not adhering to the patriarchal expectations the way ppl can't accept cis men who present Differently. Our struggles intertwine, always.
