Keeping my hands busy helps my ears hear and my brain focus. Ask any knitter - we're listening and we're more tuned in than most people around us. I'll continue to knit - on the floor and in committee - to ensure I hear every word of the important discussions we have at the Capitol.
I also heard compelling stories of folks in crisis and who are struggling due to the the cruelty of our current federal administration. I was proud to vote yes to provides funds that will help keep people in their homes.
Oh, I was listening. To every word. I heard my colleagues claim the need for emergency rental assistance was a fake problem. I heard colleagues dismiss the very real impacts of Operation Metro Surge. I heard attempts to divert these funds claiming that people just didn't want to work.

Today we remembered Senator Bruce Anderson during floor session. I had the honor of sitting next to him the last three sessions in Ag Committee. Bruce was a kind and quiet leader with a steadfast commitment to his district. He will be missed.
Honored to meet with residents of manufactured home communities. We must pass the Manufactured Home Bill of Rights this session and end predatory housing practices.

It was a bittersweet first day of session. I am glad to be back, and seeing my good pal Senator Hoffman enter the Senate chamber to a round of applause was incredibly moving. However, the heaviness of the loss of Speaker Emerita Melissa Hortman overshadowed the day.
Our cities need infrastructure dollars and we should all be prepared to deliver.
Great to get together with the wonderful folks of City of Cottage Grove to talk about the upcoming legislative session! I heard about the very real needs of the City, and I hope my colleagues across the aisle agree that a bonding bill should not be used as a bargaining chip.

I've been on skiis since I was four years old. I was proud to visit Afton Alps this week along with Representative Wayne Johnson to learn more about their success as a ski hill, and to talk about their challenges as a seasonal business. Thanks for a great tour!
It is unfortunate park mgt doesn't welcome my peaceful & lawful presence, has me followed by maintenance personnel, and continues to act in a hostile & threatening manner toward me and its residents.
I continue to monitor the situation at Cimarron & visit frequently to ensure my constituents there feel safe & have what they need.
To the men & women in Law Enforcement here in Minnesota who work so hard doing a difficult job, thank you. To the thugs, get out of Minnesota and go do something else.

Law Enforcement Appreciation Day was overshadowed this year by the chaos generated by operation metro surge. I support cops & am grateful for their partnership in keeping our communities safe.
Keeping a hospital staffed is no small feat - especially when workers cannot report due to a real fear they or their families may be detained by ICE. I also learned of potential mis-use of Earned Sick and Safe Time, compounding an already challenging staffing environment.
Grateful for the opportunity to tour Children's Hospital in St Paul. In addition to learning more about the specialized medical care they provide to our youngest patients, I also heard of staffing challenges they are facing.
