part of the problem with the Big tent of the Democrats is that.... not all the Democrats are on our side.
I think Mallory is though.
@certifiednerdgirl
Just another opinionated bitch on the internet. Independent / Progressive MAGA and Minors DNI. Views expressed are my own and not those of those who sign my paycheck. Reposting does not imply endorsement.

I really want out of this country....
that twitter billionaire's dumbass grok image proposing oil transfer by land through what looks like oman and uae, both currently in range of iranian drones and missiles. the trucks have been replaced by a giant slip n' slide running between the ships and a caption that reads "Pour Oil into Giant Slip n' Slide"
Can this be a solution?
This is my biggest frustration with the party. Well that and the people who are still in the party who insist that this somehow is my fault for not voting hard enough for them.
I've been vote blue no matter who all my whole life. I've only ever voted FOR somebody in a primary election one time.
Slimeball politician with no actual values says what?
Thanks!
Now more than ever, this long-running (2 decades+) program is a haven for good people who despise the fascism consuming this country.
I'd love it if some folks could re-share and give a listen.
@robynrox.bsky.social is awesome at breaking things down and this is a ๐ณ๏ธโโง๏ธ run program that's been going for over 20 years but really could use more exposure and support!
cowards!! the boycott should continue until Target reversed course. that was the whole point of it in the first damn place
Welp, I'm never eating at a Chilies again.
This hits hard as a lapsed drummer LOL
I know the feeling ๐ซค
I think this is the Democrats biggest problem. Give them an option between fake version of x and the genuine article. the American voter will pick the genuine article four out of five times. They don't actually pick up any significant amount of voters and they piss off people who would be otherwise.
if it's him or Vance for my purposes, I might as well go fishing on election day.
If you see this, post a robot.
it's actually a subject I would like to write on, if I could actually get back into writing again. ๐ซค
The trans med stuff is annoying.
What I hate about the term transsexual is that the people who tend to use it mostly cis ppl tend to hyper focus on "sex" and believe that my transness is primarily driven by sexual desire in that who I am is being driven by that rather than the other way around.
In general, though, I agree with the op. if people think rebranding what we are is going to change right-wing opinions about us...... they're probably going to be disappointed.
I personally hate the term. I would never want it applied to me. and people who tend to use the term tend to have opinions that I find generally repugnant.
That's not you... but if I didn't follow you, I'd probably be giving you a little bit of side eye before I knew you better.
I think that's fine personally. Everyone gets to find themselves how they want to define themselves.
My problem is when people try and force that designation on other people.
and unfortunately "transsexual" has become a loaded term for different reasons, both in our community and out.
this hit WAY too fucking close to home holy fuck
at best, China and the United States have differing philosophies about the best way to surveil their citizenry
Yeah sure. I'll concede China's surveillance. apparatus is much Superior to the United States. l
That doesn't mean the United States doesn't want to close that gap.
Don't even get me started about the Patriot Act or the waves of additional legislation that's going around trying to censor the internet to" protect the children" And put mandated Nanny software into operating systems.
We are not that Star-Spangled awesome, Sorry.
how many people got reported to their employers because they weren't sufficiently deferential about the death of Charlie Kirk?
it's not better just because there's more steps. we're just a little further behind the curve than they are.
And people like me get labeled "domestic extremists" and " violent nihilists" for the crime of *checks notes* existing in public.
States have passed laws that state that I can be arrested for existing in public because I'm " performing"
stabbed in the chest vs stabbed in the head. Its a differentiation without much difference.
LOUDER!!!!!!!
We just act like we're better because we let companies hoover up our data and sell it to the state rather than the state do it directly.
Middleman's got to get their cut yo.
that's ok. American insurance that we be #1 in everything will ensure we catch up fairly soon.
you are watched near everywhere you go with flock cameras that scan your licence plate as you travel while Google sells everyone's location data to data brokers. we ain't some anti surveillance state.
grew up in suburban ga but just cuz of a navy base. Go 10 miles in almost any direction and it was rural and we knew better.
same as it ever was. So glad I moved away.
