Of course Sunder is correct. There is no logical/principled *argument* behind this hypocrisy.
But IMO there is indeed a logic to it.
The reason the Spectator/Telegraph want to crack down on antisemitism is not because they care about Jews, but because they want to legitimise anti-Muslim bigotry.

Starmer government has no anti-racism or hate crime strategy (this last existed under May in 2016-2020) though its been drafting up a cohesion plan for some months
This govt has more anti-racism rhetoric (since Sept). I still see no strategy/policy beyond conference speech + ad hoc media comments

Over 50 Academics Warn That Voting System Is Not Fit For Multi-Party Politics
Dozens of academics haveΒ written to the government to warn that the current voting system risks producing distorted results on an 'unprecedented' s...
"The collision of a multiparty electorate with a voting system designed for two parties is creating new risks for Britain".
I signed this letter. It's not about blocking Reform;it's about the danger to democracy of a system that can't cope with multiparty voting

It is quite striking that Konstantin Kisin simply denied (falsely) on BBC1 that he had said what he said, word for word, on his podcast.

The BBC coverage is absolutely terrible.
It leads on "sharply contested narratives"
It has a dramatic skew to the US government
It has posted the video but has failed to report on what it shows: it shows the US govt account is untrue

Interesting. How many lablels could people choose and were the rankings interesting. It would be helpful for those not familiar with the School or similar Schools to know something about the gender balance. Sociology is, I would guess, 10%-15% male. Politics is somewhat different.

Nadhim Zahawi and family fled to the UK from Saddam Hussein's Iraq as a child refugee in 1978. Unable to speak English when he arrived, he became a hugely successful businessman and an MP before serving as Chancellor of the Exchequor.
His origin story is the very antithesis of the Reform narrative.
