I loved (and was horrified by) this book in my teens when we read it at school. It stayed with me for many years, and shaped my view of humanity.

The truth was that William Golding was deeply twisted, and the truth was far more beautiful.

I'll still watch it, but it's good to know ❤️

I have friends and sisters with 11 year old girls. Some of them have already experienced sexualised language and attitudes at school. As a 10 year old girl I had boys at school messing with my bra and asking me if I was a virgin.

All book genres are to be treasured, and my son is a lover of comics and graphic novels. I just hope publishers don't abandon longer stories - this is my 11year old straight from school, rushing to continue reading the final instalment of #Skandar which has utterly captured his imagination ❤️
