Wouldn't touch him with a barge pole, thanks all the same KP - jog on.

It's team HF by the way, as in Heyhoe-Flint.
Extremely disappointing from WI, we know they are so much better than this.
Bit of a Spantalian alliance going on there too by the looks of things!
Already? Oh dear!

Please someone tell the skeleton commentator on TNT to calm down, he'll have an apoplexy before the last run at this rate!

Many congratulations ๐๐๐
Grand chap, wonderful Lord's Taverner and founder of the PCA!
That's true enough, I agree with you on that. I haven't read the report by Dan Cherny but I wouldn't see her performing the role in the long term.
I wasn't implying that you meant that, but no one would consider Kempy for the England captaincy as she has no kind of experience (to my knowledge) of a leadership role or the lengthy career of Molineux. Just seemed an odd choice imho.
Personally I would have gone for Ash.
Come on RAF, that's a harsh comparison, Sophie is an experienced captain in domestic cricket and a seasoned campaigner internationally, yes it's a surprise, but not completely out of the question.
I would love there to come a time when my newsfeed doesn't contain the words "Trump threatens..."
Right then cricket peeps, who's is the top signature on this bat?
I know the other two thanks.
WTF @bbcsport! This is supposed to be the women's cricket page and you lead with a men's article ๐ก
No, pure fantasy in the manner of An Inspector Calls I think.
Noticeable that every post on X from Fairbreak has commenting disabled, can't think why that would be....๐ค
Stay safe @icelandcricket.bsky.social !
It is, I know women who would love to just be able to have a game and socialise with each other but that's not what (in my experience), clubs want to do.
Actually, it probably needs to be a study rather than just an article. Maybe it's just in my area, but the element of playing for fun seems to far fallen by the wayside.
Someone should do an article on how grassroots women's cricket can become elitist in a very short space of time. The very people the ECB wanted to attract with softball initiatives are now being left behind by clubs who just "pot hunt" in various leagues by recruiting County age group players.
Not the way you played then Mr Trescothick?
I'm catching up on WBBL matches and wonder if anybody can answer a question, when the ground is near empty, why does the PA/music still blast out at full volume? Experienced this in person in Antigua and it is deafening in an empty ground. #WBBL #turnitdown
Well let's hope so, we really can't keep putting it off because there's yet another tournament to get through first.
I know it's the world cup behind their heads but the middle bit still looks like an elephants backside!
Handbags at dawn then, boys??
And while I'm at it, why the hell has women's sport got to follow the men's example of looking "hard" in team photos? It's such outdated imagery, teams can still compete and have the will to win without their players looking as miserable as sin. Quite frankly it looks a bit daft!
Let's dump the bloody silly talk about going to war and being in the trenches, it's a sporting series, nobody is going to die for heavens sake! All the hype around sporting events these days is such bollx, from boxing face offs to barracking the haka, all a load of cobblers.
DWH hits 90 off 52, remind me again why she only played one game in India??!!?
