People tell me that using an LLM to create code will rot my programming-language skills. So? We work in a changing landscape, and agility is essential to survive. My goal is not to be the best Python (or whatever) programmer on the planet.

Great things from Claude:
Getting the recipe from a website without the 20 page background story and annoying ads.
Taking a photo of D&D character sheet from 40 years ago and turning it into a json file that can be used in solo DM campaign at 2am using a pdf of a campaign book.
What itβs like trying to defend AI usage on Bluesky where the community knowledge is based on terminator gifs and 6 fingered people from a year agoβ¦
Upvoted Redditor: princess flyhead is a Mary sue⦠every time captain claw comes to the village, all she does is complain and then in the last chapter, uses her magic powers (from the same necklace!) to save everyone at the last minute.
I read the Myst ones⦠those were kinda interesting.
I feel like this was in Phantasy Star II as wellβ¦ might be a jrpg trope π€
S1 of TNG was a potpourri of writers in the room where one half was βwe want rich, deep, narrative driven sci-fiβ & the other half was βI just played βLeisure Suit Larry IIIβ¦ I haveβ¦ ideas for Troi, Beverly, & Tashaβ.
My mistake... π
No cardbot is complete without beep & boop... c'mon now.
oof... where are my ESB peeps... π
Yeah, TOS is really a product of its time, sci-fi was more or less fantasy, the aesthetics were post-50's derived. The stories were sci-fi fantasy, the moral "lessons" heavy handed. Good sci-fi for Trek doesn't start until Season 3 of TNG.
Hahah yes... I'm in my 50's and I used to run the Despair campaign in Shakey's Pizza in '89... You can find the song of goldmoon on page 16... you can thank me later π

The first three Shannara books are some of the best high adventure fantasy books (post-tolkein) there are. The series floundered a bit until Druid of Shannara, then fell off again until Ilse Witch, after that it gets watered down again. I think Wishsong is his best novel...
Dragonlance... now there's a name I haven't heard in a long, long, long... time...

Looks good⦠IK placement for hands?
You can just imagine like year #3 when no one was around... Alf working dark jokes around him, brutal.

End buy-borrow-die, close carried int., tax mega-backdoor Roths, reform pass-through loop, limit dynasty trusts, no offshore sheltering, cap depreciation & 1031 exchanges, no grantor trust loopholes, no non-bond opportunity zone investments!
A lot of energy in that one
Semi-related story... this is how they used to film Alf and the actors were always worried about falling down into the lower floor. I guess one time, Max Wright fell down into it and lost his marbles and attacked the Alf puppet.
I'm NOT switching pipelines again... I don't care how good the GI solution is for URP. #unity3d #gamedev
