I love all the books equally, as a parent does, but I wouldn't mind new movies
@streetcat-stan
Lefty linguist plus other stuff. π³οΈβπ I crochet a lot, knit a little, and talk about yarn. I love to pet cats. Sometimes I have purple hair and complain. Realistic but not into doomerism. I block repost-only accounts

What the literal fuck
Ooh I loooove that yarn
I would love to be able to remove all these people from power, but the point is they are powerful and supports have to be removed first
It's not about the money. When Tracey Morgan was in that accident, he sued Walmart and people were critical. It is not about the money. It's about them facing a consequence that could change future actions
To be clear, I'm not against consequences. This comment comes from a thread about the Noma chef abusing his workers and sponsors pulling out.
I am not in fine dining, I don't know the full extent of reform needed, but that is a tiny step forward on the path to this Chef losing power
But reading Mariame Kaba's essays on prison abolition and criminal justice reform helped me put it into words, about the way forward.
If we are obsessed with revenge based justice (which btw, I understand completely) then we aren't focusing on the community and what's actually helpful.
Honestly growing up religious first made me realize there is no true justice, even when people would say, at the final judgment all will be balanced and just.
Well, no. Punishing someone didn't mean the offenses never happened. Some people have harder lives. It's not just.
A comment that's says, "Reminder that an abuser making a little less money is not justice."
"Justice" in these situations, it's not real. The way forward is to further minimize harm and do good for the community. True justice isn't real and we can't have a criminal justice system based on revenge.
It's not the point of the article, but there's something surreal about this article (and the staffers) trying to spin $145 dollar dress shoes as trash
Get a real job, Pinker, or just retire away from us
Do you think she realizes it doesn't make sense? There are very good ML translation systems that would aid her a lot better (even just Google translate is heaps better than it was a decade ago), but I don't know how you would kindly bring it up.
My orange and white cat standing regally
I got a pixel 10 pro specifically for the camera, but I guess I'm just doing cat photoshoots so far (SO FAR)
I dunno what the answer is, but my son is always gifted kits like this and I think we've made one of this brand, and it was unusually difficult. Less about the learning of mechanics and more like ...it's just in a thousand pieces. I'm curious if this one is the same
I am pleased to announce that Pokopia is my new fixation
Itβs actually okay if getting a Nazi tattoo permanently disqualifies you from holding political office! Youβre not entitled to it and there are plenty of other people who are just as qualified who do not have Nazi tattoos!
Been watching Reels from Mexico to improve my Spanish and I'm learning a LOT of new insults, it's exhilarating
I'm busy but it's also a crime to ignore
Oh the colors are so cool!!
Omg leaf cutter ants, I love them. And this is a great list!!
No any jungle!! I want world wide representation! I love these
Yesss
Oh this is what I'm talking about
Yes!! All of these I put on my list, but I'm esp excited about a poison dart frog
I'm crocheting π§Ά a jungle animal baby blanket but I wanted to be extra and have some unusual animals in there too
Any thoughts? Double points if the animal is brightly or multi colored but certainly not required
Any jungle region is ok
And orange and white cat sitting on a couch, he's looking away, but you can see his tiny paw sticking out
Zoom in on the tiny paw to see his beans better. They are very pink
Gasp
I BEAT THE SIRENS but now my headache has escalated and video games are out too
I'm too sick to crochet and so I played Hades 2 and I can't get past the damn sirens and now I'm just fuming
Any of my friends who love 30 Rock. The Fall and Rise of Reggie Dinkins is an oasis in these terrible times
The pilot made me laugh out loud multiple times and presented a decent plot. All the cast seems to work well together. The humor is very 30 Rock absurdist but with a touch more heart
It's all fun and games until you turn
