It’s been a week now…and I’ve never felt so much better.

I somehow friended a voice actor on discord and got a direct voice message for free, made new friends I can draw and play games with, and I’m no longer thinking about this place.

Just wanted to give a mini update on how I’ve been 😅

Hello, many people know me as Pac, I write several characters in the RP space here on Bluesky.

I wanted to take a moment to talk about RP and the general direction I wanted to take with it moving forward, now that I essentially have given myself almost a week of rest, alongside my journey.

I can come back to the game if they:
- Balance the fucking game
- Shift/Add maps and changes (especially that one Tokyo map where there’s only one way to go and it’s shit for the offensive team).
- Distribute cosmetics more properly and fair (Overwatch sucks at this too).
- Add my boy (I’m biased-).

I don’t feel like playing rivals. Even with friends I don’t feel it. Told myself I’d get the Luna disco skin but it’s like…why would I get it when I don’t want to play?

Competition was definitely needed so Overwatch could lock in. But it’s doing good considering that it’s managing to get the eye of veteran players to try it out again.

My irl friends that loved Overwatch 1 are already discussing what day we should play for the update. That to me speaks volumes because it shows that the game is drawing in attention from veterans.

I hope they can maintain this momentum and keep it rolling because at the moment it’s good.

I enjoy that they are already touching on the junkers (Queen, Hog, Rat, Hammond), deadlock gang (Ashe/Bob), vishkar (Domina, Weaver, Symm, Lucio, Sanjay), the conspiracy (Emre, Freja) and the hashimoto (Mizuki, Kiriko, Shimada brothers).

It’s kind of reminding me of Fortnite where each “chapter” focused on a story arc.

This year it’s the reign of Talon. I’m hoping that we get a Null Sector year, Vishkar year, etc. The different factions and the characters that are linked to them and how they connect together.

It’s very refreshing and the fact that this year will focus on all 10 of them is crazy. So every new character of the 10 gets to play with the lore.

Some people complained about it but I’m all for it. Especially during the years where Overwatch was dry on content during the first game.

That is completely fair. For me, I’d hate to always be in “wisdom” mode all the time as Zen.

I’d like to play as the characters to see if I’ll enjoy them more. From a story standpoint and interactions (especially now with lore being pushed more forward), I’m waiting to see which muses pop up.

Wonder if more Overwatch muses will pop up due to the new update, I see an Anran (hello!).

I’m tempted to make Symm & Weaver, but also Domina.

I love the Vishkar characters.
