I’m wondering if anyone actually had any warm feelings for Disney in the last few years btw.

It’s not a major contributor, it’s the MAIN contributor. It was sorta convenient I have a niece so the process of getting rid of all the stuff (that was never worn or worn only a few times) was fairly straightforward 🙂

It’s also often the case of buying/getting too much baby shoes/clothes and remembering about certain piece only when kiddo had already grown out of it — because they grow super quickly.

Some moving companies provide stackable moving boxes. They rent them to you in advance (and pick them up some time after the move, boxes are sturdy so you can safely pack everything in them and movers take care of actually moving them. Saved me when we were moving years ago.

To be fair though, I am yet to work on a live service game that has a box that was not built almost entirely on hacks.

So far I got next to no idea what the fuck is going on, absolutely no idea where the fuck the show is heading, but it’s an extremely satisfying watch. Granted, it can end up being total crap, but so far I dig it.

If you, for some reason, have Disney+ PARADISE is the show to check out. It’s technically a political thriller with some heavy Lost/Leftovers vibes. Two episodes in, it’s perhaps the first show since Lost/Leftovers that’s so unexpected, fresh, smart and WTF-like.

Watched ‘A New Hope’ with kiddo (her first time watching Star Wars - she loved it), and I completely forgot how hilariously trashy (in a good way) it is. Laughed pretty much all the way through, great fun for the whole family.

By "plot" I mean general outline of full story.

e.g. "Hero is X, their goal is to defeat Y, they start at point A and end in point B, via C and D."

The only time I did game narrative, we had final Plot in the pre-prod, Story end of prod, and Script was changing when we localized for diff markets.

Plot =/= Script, and too many people don’t know the difference between them.

Plot in many cases could be the first thing that is “finished” (as much as anything can he finished in game dev).

Even in movies, script can change during editing/postprod.
