with my sword club in seattle at least i was established. i could show up for practice and then sit out half of it and just chat with my friends there, and we had plenty of parties and social things i could partake in despite being too disabled to fence a lot of the time. i miss it

man. it’s really frustrating having a ton of health stuff come up as soon as i’ve moved because now i can’t be around the kinds of people i actually feel good around. how am i supposed to find the martial arts spaces i feel at home in when i can’t really roll around and fight?

tried out tetrapak intaglio printing!

milk cartons can be used for intaglio printing instead of metal plates - after inking, the shiny metallic parts end up printing in grey, and parts where the metal layer has been scratched away absorb ink and print a dark black.

Finished a custom dyed collar last night and I’m so pleased with how the color came out!

It’s been awhile since I posted actual leatherwork. Sorry, life has just gotten challenging with everything going and I feel like things have slowed to a crawl.

That said, I’m still making stuff and I love how the phoenix charm on this one turned out.
