Finally came out to someone I know IRL. I knew they’d accept me for who I am, they are an ally, but it was still nerve-wracking for me. Coming out, revealing your true self, leaves you vulnerable. I’m just glad this person I’ve know since high school remains a trans ally to this day.

I’m still waiting to how bad it gets before jumping ship, but BlueSky is apparently using Anthropic’s Claude AI for coding. The new CEO of BlueSky is going to be Toni Schneider, a “venture capitalist.” He’s meant to only be an interim CEO, but who’s to say he won’t stay for the long run…?
Learned that BlueSky was doing gross shit like using AI for coding and their new CEO is likely to start enshittification. So I’m trying Hey.Cafe to see if it’s a viable option. Gonna dual post on there and here for the time being.
Found a list of common girl names from the year I was born, wrote them down, and practiced introducing myself by those names. “Madison” happened to be the one that rang the most true for me.
I didn’t even realize I had religious trauma until earlier this year. But even before that, I ended up leaving the Catholic Church because its theology and internal logic was too inconsistent.
I’ve know some wonderful people for whom religion was an important to. I just can’t find myself being compatible with organized religion.
Too much to fit into a single post, but the short version? Too many inconsistencies within the theology of the Catholic Church.
