The quote posts by my wonderful friends are evidence that even the most skilled artists may be incapable of capturing the genuine horrors of reality.

I did not spend four years of art school with a bunch of graphic design spaghetti nerds debating the same four arguments to death to then waste my life on such discourses as a grown adult.
Uh oh I see the corpse of βart vs. the artistβ discourse has been exhumed online once again which means that βwhat is appropriationβ arguments cannot be far behind.
Love Pokopia because I can make everyone happier simply by crafting things out of sticks and leaves.
Pokopia was worth every dollar.

Weβve officially spiraled into full Nazi Germany territory. We are the bad guys in the history books.
i think about this strip daily.
Picture if you will with me for a moment, young @hirosemary.bsky.social and myself laughing our asses off in the MCAD Comics Studio while watching this niche Spanish sketch comedy segment about Alan Moore. No one else thinks its funny but us. youtu.be/OoRoE8DeQxc?...

Cover art for βBeetle Moses: a Comics Menagerieβ, the debut comic collection from beetle moses.
My debut book of comics is officially LIVE for PREORDER!
A drawing of Astro Boy smoking a cigarette, circled by the words βComics are read by delinquents!β
Forced myself to crank out a sticker for an upcoming convention, just to have one new thing! Iβll probably keep redrawing rude Astro until the day I die.
A drawing of Astro Boy in sunglasses with the words βComics Are Read by Delinquents!β It is clearly an older drawing compared to the one in the prior post.
Here is the original Rude Astro design, which was taken from several years of drawing Rude Astro in my sketchbooks, often flipping the bird.

Coffee bags, one is Tom of Finland with a Tom of Finland image on it. The other is Moomin with a Moomin leaning on a blueberry. More details: in the photograph of two "Art Roast" coffee bags on the shelf of a store with prices in euros. One of the bags is large and black and says HEAVY DUTY dark roast coffee beans, exclusive blend by Robert [I can't read it, it's in script]. The other is blue and says Blueberry coffee.
ah yes, the two genders
help, itβs again
Theyβre so gorgeous but kill my wallet and shelves.
In the story of Humpty Dumpty it is never said that he is an egg. However, it is never said that he is NOT an egg. This means that any character in ANY story could be an egg unless explicitly stated otherwise. Keep that in mind when you read a Jack Reacher novel

If I wanted ChatGPTβs response, I would have asked ChatGPT and not the sentient human Iβm communicating with who is capable of independent thought.
The Captain Underpants continuum dictates that you canβt draw him too realistic or it is just a creepy guy in his underwear instead of a delightful cartoon character.
Tweet that reads Leo Xander @STALLEON Stop taking social media so serious. Nothing here is real. Look at this chicken V - it is bigger than the car
I think about this tweet every time I feel something online start to curl its annoying little grip into my head
DCβs Compact Comics would also be fun to teach in the classroom, but my students (in the intermediate reading bracket who likely left off their freshman year of high school) arenβt quite ready for something like V for Vendetta and the rest are a bit less general interest.
Love those but 1) out of print, 2) pretty time and editor specific samplings. Iβm now trying to find a single anthology that has a nice representative sampling of content, but again itβs a harder challenge than I expected.
I like to describe myself as the Alan Moore of middle grade graphic novels for iPad babies.
The cover of An Anthology of Graphic Fiction, Cartoons, and True Stories with original art by Dan Clowes featuring a romance comics scenario, a Martian flying through space, and a bald guy punching.
Well I found what I was looking for with An Anthology of Graphic Fiction, Cartoons, and True Stories but itβs woefully out of print. Now on the hunt for an anthology thatβs a representative sample of contemporary comics.
Thousands of institutions abandoned programs, ended or rewrote scholarships, closed down clubs and publications, all in pre-emptive compliance.
And you know why?
Mostly because they wanted to do it if they thought they could blame someone else for it.
Cover of the Penguin Book of the Modern American Short Story edited by John Freeman with an illustration of a tornado touching down in a field.
It would be great to have one book with excerpts from the classics like Maus, Persepolis, and Love and Rockets. Hell toss in an EC Comic or two like βThe Master Race.β I just bought a classroom set of The Penguin Book of the Modern American Short Story for similar purposes of teaching short fiction.
