so much of acting is done with line delivery, emotions, tone of voice. and you just don’t get that with dubbing, a lot of the time.
also, another issue I have with the dubbing: ilya sounds too aggressive and overall the emotions and softness don’t come across as well.
which I feel like my biggest issue with dubbing is.. HOW can you say you like an actor’s performance when you’re not listening to their original voice.
yes, I like that they kept that, too. I wasn’t worried about them dubbing that in german, more about them having the german voice actor read the parts in russian. which. just no.
