Yesterday, I asked the Government Representative in the Senate how the Federal Government would assure the UCP would abide by the Canada Health Act and, in turn, work to protect access to and delivery of public health care in Alberta.
Today, I rose in the Senate of Canada as part of Black History Month to pay tribute to an incredible colleague, friend, and mentor Rosalind Smith. Rest in Peace, Dear Ros. ❤️
Now is the time for unity, empathy and compassion for a devastated community and families that will never be the same.
Sadly, we are seeing some people trying to exploit and weaponize tragedy to promote hatred and division.
Unspeakable violence is never caused by a person’s identity.
Comprehensive sexual health is a human right. Schools should’ve leading the conversation with accurate and evidenced based information.
