If you draw a car with a character either next to or inside of it, always make sure that the car is just the right size for them!, remember to make sure it's not gargantuan nor the size of a kids toy!
(2) When it comes to the car's headlights, i always make it's color and texture to that of chrome! From irl references the headlights always have it's reflection inverted. For the brake lights though it's less reflective with the inside of it almost visible from thick opacity!
(1) Since cars are always slab shaped, i always use a rectangular prism as a base for where i draw my car's. Remember to Always start on simpler shapes before focusing on the details!
Another thing is don't be afraid of using references!, you can use them for defining the shapes!
