And the feel when carrying it is a big step backwards - the side exhaust ports dig into my hands. Why so chunky if the M4 uses half the power of the old i7?

But what's with all the ports? I spent the last 5 years making sure everything went through USB c. Now I have a useless HDMI port.

On the plus side, the CPU builds my team's iOS app much faster than my old laptop and the screen looks amazing.
