The U.S. used to be a “once Great Ally” too. Even “maybe the Greatest of them all”. But I suspect a whackload of people in every country around the world, billions probably, “will remember" stuff too. For years. And years. And years. So it's gonna end up being a wash.

No doubt Russia is still working to undermine democracy. China shares this goal and is also still working towards it. But China’s ultimate goal is global supremacy and with Russia now a vassal of China due to the war in Ukraine I believe it's China that is now calling all of the shots. Silently.

It's true. But I think it's China that is behind ALL of what is going on right now because they've been WAY too quiet over the past year. I'm thinking China is putting the final pieces of their "How do we bring down the U.S. and democracy without anyone knowing it's us doing it?" puzzle into place.
