Try to carefully lift up out of pot, you can tell by how wet the roots at bottom are if it's too much watering, or not enough. You can also tell if it is rootbound.

Both cats eat the special dry food, which is ok, although the other cat got a little fat on it. She used to be a stray and just likes to curl up in comfy places and sleep all day,very cute, might also be part of the problem with weight.

Definitely prefer the indoor option, although I garden a lot and they keep me company, lol. Also stay hydrated, we use a cat water fountain that they like and we give super hydrated wet food.

Original dad now lives in an apartment with two cats that have never, and will never, go outside. I hope you feel better soon, I think your Vet is the best guide for your care, maybe worth asking about the fluoxetine but it might not fit your situation. Watch those coyotes!!🧡

And same, because with us he can more safely go outside, and he and I bonded and I didn't want him to leave, lol. When his original dad comes to visit, they snuggle like crazy. His dad misses him but knows it is for the best.

He was bullied by other cats and dog in other living situations, which caused the stress I think, and he moved alot. Main dad was in the Navy and rescued him when he was almost a year old. Last move was to us, so when his dad moved again it seemed best he stayed with us.

Before medicine he never went after birds or the other cat that lives with us, now he tries to catch the birds and will instigate with other cat. He was kind of scared before, which sometimes is a good thing. He came to us as an adult who had been allowed out, so I understand, hard to change.

Our yard is fenced and in NY suburbs with no predators. I do not know if medicine makes him less aware, but maybe less afraid.

Our Tuxie is 7. He did not have a uti, which is why vet went with stopping his anxiety. We also had to let him go outside more, not just on a leash, because staying inside caused him more anxiety.

Fluoxetine HCI,it is for anxiety. He takes it every day, not just for flare ups.

The Tuxie cat that lives with us has FIC it is from stress too. When he had pain,before we knew about this, he'd meow and pee right in front of us, or on favorite things. We finally figured it out and now he gets medicine and special food and has gotten much better. Hope you get better soon too.
