The amount and variety of work they have done is truly impressive.
Looking forward to meeting them again and we will follow their careers with interest.
Thank you all for a great welcome! See you at the AGM!😀

Huge congratulations to Jessie Buckley, on her Golden Globe award for Best Female Actor in HAMNET - an extraordinary performance from a truly exceptional actor.
David Fouéré Heap 1949-2025. Actor, activist, kind human being, his journey done, his life lived. We were privileged to have shared a few steps along the way.

To his beloved wife Olwen, his family and close friends we extend our deepest sympathies and sincerest condolences.

His support for Ecumenical Accompaniment Programme (EAPPI) again saw him fight for the rights of his fellow human beings in the West Bank and to bring their voice to Irish parliamentary committees sharing insights from his time in Palestine with policymakers.

David was a member of Irish Equity and during his time in Fair City he was the Equity rep speaking up fearlessly for his fellow cast members but his voice was also needed elsewhere.
🧵4/7
David was a kind, generous and supportive human being and lived his life by those ideals.
As a performer he was professional and went about the job of creating those moments of magic with an apparent ease, an ease that hid the diligence and hard work such moments require.

I had the honour of attending the opening night of ‘Translations’ in the Gate Theatre in 1980. David played Captain Lancey. This was the beginning of his love affair with Ireland and the Irish theatre communities' love for him.
🧵2/7
On behalf of the executive and membership of Irish Equity we would like to extend our sincerest condolences to the family of our beloved colleague David Heap.
