Fact
What I didn't explore here, which I will if they follow up, is what faith they had before. Was there a sense of being known and loved by God? An experience of the Divine as a living presence? How did they relate to Jesus? Was grace for them somehow real to them? Or…?
There is no Christian theology or eschatology that can justify man-made starvation.
Even if people are viewed as enemies, the Scriptures still tell us what to do:
“If your enemies are hungry, feed them.”
The baptized have pledged their allegiance to Jesus Christ, not the Pentagon or the IDF.
