I've got to the stage with French (mid-intermediate/ 80s) where the conversations are actually surprisingly witty and amusing (e.g. a son dressing his father up in a princess costume & explaining it was he who taught him not to care what others think !) . Keep pushing and it might get better ?

I get that Trump and several of his family are awful, but this seems like an unnecessary personal attack. families are messy. Lots of uncomfortable standing& smiling together at weddings after shit has gone down historically. Of all the things to criticise about the Trump dynasty, this seems silly.
